1 in 8 females are diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Yes, you read that right, 12.5% of the female population will have to navigate treating breast cancer in their life. The state of Washington has the highest rate of breast cancer in the country. 4,000 of our sisters, daughters, mothers, wives, and grandmothers are diagnosed each year in this state.
This year’s events are in support of Northwest Hope & Healing. They provide immediate financial assistance to local women (and men) undergoing breast or gynecologic cancer treatment at Swedish Cancer Institute who are struggling to meet their basic needs. No long forms, no waiting period.
2022 Events Benefiting Northwest Hope & Healing
Healing Boxes
Their signature “Healing Boxes” are assembled and delivered, at no charge, to local women who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer at all Swedish Cancer Institute Campuses.
Financial Grants
Studies show that cancer can be financially devastating to women and their families. Their financial grants pay for necessities such as food, utilities, and childcare so that women in our community can focus on healing.

No long forms, no waiting period. Swedish Cancer Institute distributes 100% of the funds donated by Northwest Hope & Healing to the Patient Assistance Fund for zero fee, in consideration of SCI’s patient needs.
